The park has two washrooms. They are open 24 hours. One is at the centre of the park and the other on the south end. Showers are at the main washroom at the center of the park and they are coin operated. The campground has an outdoor pool, playground, volleyball and badminton nets, horseshoe pits and a pavilion. The Black River is an excellent river for canoeing, kayaking and swimming.

Our seasonal side of the park has 34 full service (15 amp.) sites, 7 full service (30 amp.) sites and 13 electric and water sites, and 6 no hookup sites. The overnight camping area has 6 electric (30 amp.) and water sites, 6 electric (15 amp.) and water sites, 31 no hookup sites (24 of these on islands) plus 5 sleeping cabins.

Black River Wilderness Park is oriented for the family camping experience. Our campsites are large shaded sites. Each site has a fire pit and picnic table. All island sites are tent sites only and are on the water's edge. Islands #1 , #2, #3 and #5 can be accessed by bridge, #4 by natural rock walkway. 2

We do not rent canoes but you are welcome to bring your own. The Black River is a good river for canoeing, the kids love to go over the rapids in their dinghies. You can fish for bass and pickerel. Vegetation throughout the park is rich with native plants used for healing.

The cabins are sleeping cabins with a double bed and 2 bunk beds for each family. There is a 4 foot verandah and each site will have a picnic table and fire pit. This island affords beautiful views of downstream, a view that you will easily remember. You will need your regular camping items except the tent. Sleeping bags or your own linen are required. No electrical outlet in cabin, only ceiling light

The campground opens to campers on the first weekend in May and closes on Thanksgiving Day.

Reservations for weekends are recommended, especially on long weekends. Long weekend stays are a 3 night minimum with credit card or full payment in advance by cash.
