Seasonal Camping

Black River Wilderness Park is oriented for the family camping experience. Our sites are large and shaded. Each site has a fire pit and picnic table. The season is from the first Friday in May until Thanksgiving weekend.

The park is basically divided with seasonal camping on the south side and overnight campers to the north side. Our seasonal side of the park has 34 -15 amp full service (electric/water/sewer) sites and 7 full service -30 amp sites. Our sites are approximately 2,000 to 2,500 square feet in size. The maximum length of trailer is 40 ft. tow trailers, fifth wheels or park model, no mobile homes.

Seasonal customers are allowed 2 vehicles per site but they must be their vehicles not visitors. Entry is controlled by an automatic gate and a gate card is given for each vehicle with a non-refundable deposit.

Our policy is 2 adults and children under 18 or 2 adults per site. Rates include the hydro usage, we do not have meters. Boating is not allowed on the river, it has too many rapids but it is an excellent river for canoeing. We do not have canoe rentals. A public dock is 5 minutes away on Lake Couchiching. The campground has an outdoor pool, playground, volleyball and badminton, horseshoes and a pavilion that is open to public use. There is a charge for daily and overnight visitors.

Park Rates are as follows: (taxes extra)
Hydro/Water site 15 amp $1,229.44

Hydro/Water/Sewer site 30 amp $1,454.67
